Chilli Image Layout is a versatile Joomla module for creating visual content blocks with an image, title and text. It offers several layout options and detailed styling controls, allowing you to adapt each block to your website without writing HTML, CSS or PHP code.
Display text over an image, position the image beside the text or place the text below the image. Each layout includes practical options for typography, colours, spacing, borders and backgrounds.

Text over image
The Text over image layout places the title and text directly on top of the selected image. It is suitable for banners, promotional messages, featured content and visual calls to action.
You can configure:
- title and text colours;
- title and text sizes;
- text block background colour;
- image overlay colour;
- distance of the text block from the bottom;
- content padding;
- border thickness and corner radius.
The text block background and image overlay are transparent by default. A colour is applied only when you select one, allowing the original image to remain clearly visible.
Image beside the text
The image can be positioned on the left or right side of the text block. This layout is ideal for presenting services, products, team members, locations and other content that benefits from a balanced image-and-text arrangement.
You can adjust the distance between the image and text, define typography settings and add a border, rounded corners and internal padding.
Image with text below
This layout displays the image first, followed by the title and text. It is suitable for content cards, product presentations, portfolio items, announcements and featured articles.
The clear vertical structure makes the content easy to read and works well in different module positions.
Detailed style controls
Chilli Image Layout provides individual controls for the most important visual elements. You can adjust font sizes, colours, spacing and borders directly from the module settings.
